Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Bryant is Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and the Hospital Epidemiologist at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Bryant received her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where she then completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases. She is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America, the Society for Pediatric Research and the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society. She also serves as the chair of the PIDS Training Programs Committee. The recipient of several awards for excellence in teaching, she has lectured nationally and internationally. She has authored several articles published in Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal, Journal of Pediatrics, Vaccine and Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology. Her current research focuses on the prevention of healthcare-acquired infections in children and vaccine clinical trials in children.
