Biographical Sketch:
Rachel Stricof is the Director of the Bureau of Healthcare-Associated Infections, New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Albany's School of Public Health in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She received her undergraduate degree in Medical Technology and Masters Degree in Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. Ms. Stricof has more than 30 years of experience in infection prevention, control and epidemiology. She has served in numerous leadership roles at the local and national level of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC). She is currently the APIC liaison to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Advisory Council for the Elimination of Tuberculosis (ACET) and ACET’s liaison to the CDC Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee (HICPAC).
