Biographical Sketch: Tara MacCannell is a healthcare epidemiologist for the CDC with the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion. She has been involved with the development and launch of NHSN's Healthcare Personnel Safety Component, in addition to activities pertaining to injection safety, studies on personal protective equipment, and the use of geographic information systems (GIS)for infectious disease tracking in healthcare.
