Biographical Sketch: Associate Professor Cathryn Murphy is an independent, international infection control consultant. She has worked as an infection prevention expert for governments, professional associations and medical industry in multiple international settings and strives for improved standards of infection prevention globally. Cath is currently the invited Chair of the national Australian Commission For Safety and Quality in Healthcare’s Infection Control Advisory Group. She is an invited member of the WHO’s Expert Technical Infection Control Group and is APIC’s 2010 President.
