Biographical Sketch: Vickie Brown, RN, MPH is the Associate Director of Hospital Epidemiology for UNC Health Care, the academic medical center for the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She has 10 years of critical care nursing experience in burn/trauma and 20 years of experience in infection control and epidemiology. Vickie is certified in Infection Control, and is an active member of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), currently serving as the Co-Chair of the APIC 2010 educational conference in New Orleans and as the APIC representative to The Joint Commission's Professional and Technical Advisory Committee. She has provided numerous presentations at professional meetings and co-authored multiple publications and abstracts.
