Summary: Dr. Henderson will provide a brief look back at his 30 years as a Hospital Epidemiologist and SHEA member and will discuss emerging opportunities and barriers to success for the Society for both the immediate and long-term future.
Learning Objectives: - The attendee will learn about the evolution of the discipline of healthcare epidemiology in the context of public health emergencies and dramatic medical advances in infectious diseases and molecular medicine over the past three decades from the perspective of a 30-year SHEA member.
