Biographical Sketch: Kathy Allen-Bridson is a Nurse Consultant with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Healthcare Safety Network where she acts as a subject matter expert for healthcare related infection surveillance.  Her responsibilities include development of infection criteria and surveillance modules and user support for clinical issues.  She has over 16 years of hospital experience both as a clinical nurse and infection control nurse as well as 4 years public health work as the Border Health Program Coordinator for the Michigan Department of Community Health.  Kathy is a graduate of the University Of Michigan School Of Nursing, Board Certified in Infection Control and is expecting to complete her Master’s in Public Health from the University of London in June, 2011.
