Biographical Sketch: Dr. Terashita is board certified Public Health and General Preventive Medicine physician. She has been a medical epidemiologist with Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Acute Communicable Disease Control Program since 2003. She is the supervisor for the Hospital Outreach Unit which is responsible for establishing collaborative relationships between ACD and the 102 acute care hospitals in Los Angeles County. This includes investigating hospital outbreaks and working to decrease healthcare associated infections. Her team works very closely with hospital infection control.
