Biographical Sketch: Dr. Moore received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree in public health from Harvard University. Dr. Moore completed his internship and residency in Pediatrics at Stanford University. Following residency, he worked with the National Immunization Program at the CDC followed by fellowship training in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Emory University. Dr Moore began working with the North Carolina Division of Public Health in July 2006 as an officer with the CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service program. He is currently a Medical Epidemiologist with the Communicable Disease Branch and Medical Director of North Carolina’s Healthcare-Associated Infections Prevention Program. In addition to healthcare-associated infections, his duties include surveillance for influenza and respiratory diseases as well as consultation with local health departments regarding outbreaks and communicable disease issues.
