Biographical Sketch: Michael Klompas is an infectious disease physician and associate hospital epidemiologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. His research interests lie in novel applications of electronic health information to improve infection surveillance and public health awareness. Recent work has focused on electronic detection of communicable diseases in the community and ventilator-associated pneumonia within healthcare facilities.
