Summary: Control of MDROs in healthcare settings remains a challenge. In this session, expert hospital epidemiologists will describe interventions that have been shown to be effective in preventing colonization and infection with MDROs including environmental hygiene, isolation precautions and antimicrobial stewardship. This presentation will discuss challenges of implementing such measures including care transitions, antibiotic resistance and non-acute care settings.
