Summary: Efforts to improve antimicrobial stewardship and antimicrobial stewardship programs are a constant challenge. This session will allow attendees to learn about the latest efforts at CDC and a nationwide hospital network in understanding improving antimicrobial stewardship in healthcare settings. Learners will also review basic and advanced strategies for effective implementation of stewardship programs.

Describe preliminary findings from ongoing large scale efforts to determine and implement basic methods to improve antimicrobial use across institutions with variable stewardship resources
Identify methods to apply these findings to your own institution to enhance stewardship efforts
